Sanford Sizzlin’ Summer is a 10-week celebration packed with free and affordable events for the whole family. From live music and movie nights to interactive games and local deals, we’re bringing the heat (and plenty of ways to beat it) to Historic Downtown Sanford.
This campaign is made possible by Sanford Main Street, in partnership with the Sanford Chamber of Commerce, and executed by the Sanford Synergy Council—all working together to support local businesses, build community, and make this summer one to remember.
Sanford Lifestyle CartFest
SANFORD LIFESTYLE CARTFEST 2026: THE ULTIMATE GOLF CART EXPERIENCE
Historic Downtown Sanford is gearing up for the golf cart event of the year! This summer, experience the inaugural Sanford Lifestyle CartFest, powered by Trojan Battery Company, taking place July 24–26, 2026.
Sanford, Florida, isn't just a location; it's the heart of a thriving golf cart culture. CartFest is the premier stage for this vibrant community, offering a multi-day festival dedicated to customization, innovation, and the unique lifestyle that defines our historic downtown.
Sizzlin' Summer Cinema
COOL NIGHTS, CLASSIC FILMS — FREE SUMMER MOVIES EVERY WEDNESDAY
Bring the whole family downtown every Wednesday at 7 PM for Sizzlin' Summer Cinema free movie nights all summer long at the Historic Ritz Theater. Enjoy a family-friendly film, air-conditioned comfort, and affordable concessions.
Admission is free with a donation of a school supply that supports local teachers.

Celebrate the United States of America's 250th birthday with Sanford Main Street. Stores in the Historic Downtown Sanford area are encouraged to participate for a chance to win prizes.

Sanford Mayoral Debate
The future of our city starts with your vote.
Sanford Main Street invites the community to attend a free public debate featuring Sanford Mayoral candidates Charles Davis and Christina Hollerbach.
This debate will give residents the opportunity to hear directly from the candidates as they answer predetermined questions focused on key city issues, priorities, and the future of Sanford.

The debate will follow a structured format featuring predetermined questions on important issues facing the City of Sanford. Each participating candidate will have the opportunity to share their vision, priorities, and plans for our community's future.
All Sanford Mayoral candidates are welcome to participate.

Catch the crack of the bat and the thrill of summer baseball with the Sanford River Rats! As part of the Florida Collegiate Summer League, the River Rats bring exciting, family-friendly baseball action to Sanford and nearby communities.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate.
